Day 8...

Well it's been an interesting day. It was only 4 degrees when I took the kids to school today. The wind blowing made it seem somewhere below zero. Can ya say BRRRRRR,...
Then the blower motor went out on the heat system. This really sucks. The house only go to 63 degrees but then back down to 52 without heat, quick. Dave came home with 4 space heaters but only 3 can be used without throwing breakers. This sucks!
I am nervous and feeling really insecure tonight. Not going to sleep well. I don't like electrical stuff and when breakers get thrown it really scares me. Biggest fear = house fire....never want to face that one!
So with these bitter, harsh winds blowing the dogs are in the house, as is the cat, I think. If not I will find him and bring him in.
Bella and Sasha love the sound of their cookie jar opening so they come running for a treat. I took this picture of them waiting, patiently. Bella is clear but Sasha waits in the background as Bella is food agressive and has attacked Sasha more than once, well 4  times to be exact.
Man, Bella is sure looking old and she isn't even 3. Sasha is 7.5.....

Day 7

I didn't post a picture on day six because I added 2 pictures on day 5.
Today was the coldest day. It started out at 22 degrees and as of this evening it is 10 degrees with a windchill of 1.  So a good ol' hot cup of cocoa is just the perfect end of such a cold day.
School and work study starts in 5 days. Very excited!

Day 5...

Well this is my completed, restored dutch oven. Took me a few hours to make it look this good. I followed the directions off of a youtube video.  I will season it one more time but it is definately ready to use now. Taken with my phone.
I also took a read deal pic of my cat Jazz. I took this one with my D3100 with the 50mm lens.  He is super difficult to shoot as he will not sit still long enough for me to snap a good pic so most of them are on auto mode.

Day 4...

Today I decided to put my 18 year old cast iron dutch oven into the oven in hopes of restoring it. It is a precious piece to me. It may not be a classic 'old' piece but my dad bought it for me when my second son was born. I love cast iron and was lucky enough to get another piece, my skillet fromy my daughter for Christmas. I wanted this piece to be just as good looking as the new piece. It's quite ugly now as this pic was taken just after I took it out of the oven. I put it in there during the self cleaning process and will finish it tomorrow...

Day 3 .... January 3, 2015

I've made it to day 3. Phew!
It's raining today and cold so no going on shooting so I took this of the plant next to the porch. The wind was blowing so I did the best to get it as clear as I could, hand held. All I did in edit was crop...

Day 2...Doing good so far. Woot! :)

Not much done today. Was quite the lazy day. It was cold, rainy and dreary out. Yuck. I am ready for snow and then Spring.
Went to dinner with the hubs...just he and I. So I took this pic. Thought it was the most interesting picture of the day.

Day 1.....

Hello!
I found out about this 365 day challenge from Click It Up A Notch and thought I'd give it a whirl. I will do my best to post every day but I do get forgetful. Hopefully some will keep me accountable. 
I am a work in progress. I am still learning settings and how to shoot in manual mode so bare with me if some pics aren't perfect. Taking on this challenge will hopefully allow me to learn something.  
Here is my first photo of the year. I am a huge SOA fan and my son gave me Jax Teller for Christmas. Well not the real thing of course but I took this before we took the decorations down. He is now safely back on the mantel.
